Hero dog finds family cat under wreckage 2 months after fire

People say cats have nine lives, but we'll always be shocked by what some cats manage to live through.

Like Ringer, a cat who somehow survived for two months under the floor of a house that had burned down.

Christine Marr, Ringer's owner, posted about the miraculous rescue on Facebook.

Two months ago, a fire destroyed Marr's home. While Marr and her dog Chloe were rescued from the flames, Ringer could not be found.

That is, until Marr made a trip back to the spot of her old house with Chloe on Sunday.

"[Chloe] was digging and scratching at the floor," Marr recalled in her Facebook post, describing how the dog eventually found a hole in the wall. When she heard cat meows coming from the hole, she got some food to lure the cat out.

"And out came Ringer, our cat that we thought perished in the fire," Marr continued.

According to West Michigan's local Fox affiliate, emergency personnel were stunned by the discovery and immediately hailed Chloe as a canine hero. Ringer was taken to an animal hospital, where they found he was malnourished and had lost half his body weight.

"We're assuming he was eating bugs and spiders and stuff under there," Marr told Fox News.

Marr reported on Facebook that Ringer has a feeding tube in his neck and that the process to reintroduce him to solid food will be slow. But, most importantly, Ringer is expected to make a full recovery.

Employee reveals how Russian trolls targeted Hillary Clinton before election - after studying House of Cards

A former employee of the Russian "troll factory" that bought thousands of Facebook ads during the US presidential election has revealed how he wrote comments on Western news sites to ridicule Hillary Clinton and inflame political divisions. A young man quoted under the pseudonym "Maksim" told independent channel TV Rain about the trolls' mission to meddle in US politics and wage an "information war" against the country. "Our goal wasn't to turn Americans toward Russia. Our goal was to set Americans against their own government," he said. "To provoke unrest, provoke dissatisfaction, lower (Barack) Obama's rating." Maksim's records listed his employer as Internet...
