The Marion County coroner ruled the death of 1-year-old girl at a home on the east side in May a homicide.
An autopsy revealed that Erieomairy Dingui had suffered several blunt trauma injuries when police and paramedics arrived at 2348 Post Dr. just after midnight May 6, according to a news release from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
Erieomairy was still alive and was taken to Riley Hospital for Children in critical condition. She died later that day.
Child abuse detectives and crime lab technicians collected evidence at the scene and know who was with the baby when she suffered the injuries, according to the statement.
