The man who police suspect was fatally stabbed by a family member during a dispute in Indio last month has been identified as 39-year-old Indio resident Christopher Galvan, according to the Riverside County Coroner's Office.

Indio police responded to a family disturbance on the 82-900 block of Via Venecia around 6:48 p.m. on Nov. 26. They found three men with stab wounds at the scene. They were taken to the hospital, where Galvan died.

The other two victims remain in stable condition, police spokesperson Ben Guitron said on Tuesday. One of them had been in critical but stable condition the day after the stabbing. Police said the victims and suspect, Anthony William Piña-German, 34, of Indio, are relatives.

Police arrested Piña-German after finding him in El Centro the day after the stabbing. He is facing murder and attempted murder charges, and is scheduled to appear at the Larson Justice Center on Friday at 8:30 a.m., jail records show.
