Man injured Thursday in shooting along Bragg Boulevard in Fayetteville

One man was found shot in a vehicle shortly before 4 p.m. Thursday on Bragg Boulevard, a news release from the Fayetteville Police Department said.

The individual's name was not released.According to police, he was alert and conscious, but suffered serious injuries and was taken to the hospital.

Detectives with the Aggravated Assault Unit are investigating.

Bragg Boulevard between Filter Plant Drive and Pearl Street was closed as detectives investigated the shooting, the release said.
