Authorities are investigating a shooting Sunday that left a Bayou Blue man dead.
The shooting claimed the life of 43-year-old Brandon Bradley, the Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office said.
Authorities from Terrebonne and Lafourche parishes along with State Police were called out around 3:45 p.m. to the Bayou Blue area after receiving reports of shots fired.
The shooting occurred in a small camper in the 200 block of Lake Long Drive. Several residents and volunteer firefighters were already at the scene and were trying to save the gunshot victim before medical personnel arrived, the Sheriff's Office said.
Bradley suffered a single gunshot wound to the chest and died at the scene.
Investigators said a domestic argument may have led to Bradley getting shot, the Sheriff's Office said. No charges have been filed as of Monday.
The shooting remains under investigation.
