Police are searching for two unidentified suspects in a late-night shooting in Portsmouth that left a man dead Wednesday.

Officers responded to the 2500 block of Victory Boulevard, near the intersection with Deep Creek Blvd., around 12:15 a.m. Clifton Privott, 31, was found with a fatal gunshot wound.

Portsmouth police released surveillance images Thursday of two people authorities said are suspects in the shooting. Both suspects, police said, appear to be males. One has medium length braids and another has short hair.

A silver sedan, possibly a Lexus IS250, was also identified by police as a suspect vehicle.

Anyone who recognizes the suspects or the suspect vehicle is asked to contact the Portsmouth Police Department investigations bureau at 757-393-8536 or submit an anonymous tip to the crime line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
