El Paso police officers and the FBI are assisting the U.S. Border Patrol after a shooting Tuesday afternoon near the Ysleta Border Patrol Station in the far East Side.
The shooting was reported near the Ysleta Border Patrol Station at 12245 Pine Springs Drive near Loop 375 and Rojas Drive. The El Paso Police Department is assisting at the scene, a police spokesman said.
An FBI spokeswoman said that the FBI Violent Crimes Task Force and Evidence Response Team were investigating and processing the crime scene. Details on what occurred had not been disclosed.
Channel 14-KFOX reported that a person was rushed to a hospital with serious injuries.
A Border Patrol spokesman said information would be released as it becomes available.
