A Twinsburg student was taken into custody by police Wednesday afternoon after a report of a student pointing a pellet gun at another student.
The incident happened in the high school parking lot, said Superintendent Kathryn Powers.
"A student alarmed another student by pointing a pellet gun at him," said Superintendent Kathryn Powers. "The incident was brought to the attention of school resource officer Craig Bremner, who immediatelyinformed high school administration and the Twinsburg police department."

Powers said the student's vehicle was searched, and the pellet gun was found there. The pellet gun, she added, was never inside the school.
"The student is now in the custody of the Twinsburg police department," Powers said. "School consequences will be forthcoming as soon as the investigation concludes."
A representative from the police department could not be reached for comment.
